The world of toasts is full of infinite combinations, both sweet and savoury, that can make your breakfast or snack a moment of full enjoyment. Like the one we bring you today, with peanut butter, roasted apple and walnut toast baked apple and walnuts. Without a doubt, it is one of our favorite combinations, not only because of its flavor, but because it is very easy to prepare and is full of beneficial nutrients for our health.
To fully enjoy this toast, it is key that the ingredients are of quality, and as fresh and natural as possible. In the case of peanut butter or cream, you can make it homemade or buy it, making sure in this case that it only contains peanuts as an ingredient, and nothing else!
As a base, I have used country bread, but you can use your favorite bread; Of course, try not to have too much crumb since the peanut butter is already quite dense.

How to make Peanut Butter, Roasted Apple and Walnut Toast
The first step to make our toast with peanut butter will be to wash the apple very well, since we will incorporate it with the skin. We dry it with kitchen paper and cut it into cubes of more or less the same size, and not too big.
On a baking tray, place all the pieces of the apple, and pour a good stream of honey over it. If you want the recipe to be 100% vegan, you can simply swap the honey for agave syrup. The result is equally delicious! With the oven preheated to 180 ºC, we introduce the tray and let it cook for about 20 minutes, with heat above and below. We are watching so that it does not burn, since we want the apple to cook little by little and to be juicy, tender and caramelized. When it is at this point, we take it out of the oven and let it cool.
Now we take the opportunity to toast the slice of bread and chop the nuts. If you do not have nuts, you can change them for any other dry fruit such as almonds, cashews or hazelnuts. We just need to assemble, serve and enjoy! We spread a generous amount of peanut butter on the bread, and on top we are placing the pieces of the apple that we have baked. Finally, we crown our toast with some chopped walnuts on top. If instead of apple you prefer to use another fruit, it is also delicious with pear or pineapple, the contrast of flavors is a spectacle! As an alternative to peanut butter, any nut butter, such as sesame or tahini, or almond butter, can also be used. And our toast would be ready, a most gourmet, nutritious and satisfying sweet bite!
