Pantera milk cocktail whose origin is believed to come from the time when Francoist General José Millán-Astray, one of the fathers of the Spanish legion, transmitted it to the bartender Perico Chicote. It is said that the soldier asked the owner of the mythical Museo Chicote to come up with an easy, fast and nutritious drink with which to tame the legionnaires on campaign: a little condensed milk, another little gin, ice and ground cinnamon. It was also said that the legionnaires added gunpowder taken from the cartridges they used in their operations… but that’s just stories.
The bartender was inspired by a legend that wounded soldiers mixed ethyl alcohol with the milk they were given in the infirmary to create a cocktail that was made by mixing condensed milk, gin, and ice. There are also varieties in which normal milk is used, cinnamon is added or in which gin is replaced by rum.
The two theories coincide in attributing the name of the cocktail to the cupletista Celia Gámez (1905-1992), a famous actress and dancer who shared a friendship with General Millán-Astray and with Perico Chicote himself, either because of her slanted eyes or because of her his feline figure dressed in black.

How to make panther milk
The type of glass that we will use is the so-called old fashioned, perfect for this type of drink without a lot of ingredients. In a cocktail shaker we add the gin of the chosen brand, previously we will add ice to cool enough.
