Asian coffee, the classic drink from Cartagena to make at home

Asian coffee has a very original and colorful look with its unmixed ingredients, at least for a correct presentation.

This coffee with its layered presentation feature It is achieved by the different density of its ingredients and, therefore, we will have to add them in the order indicated. In addition to following this order, it is important to use a concentrated espresso coffee, with a good cream from the coffee itself. If we do it with a very liquid coffee and without cream, it will end up mixing with the liquors and we will not have the characteristic upper layer of our cocktail with its cream.

One of the peculiarities of this coffee is the type of glass in which it is served, specific for its preparation, with the marks that guide us for the proportions of the ingredients. However, if we do not have this traditional cup we can use any other glass with the quantities of each drink indicated in this recipe.

Next, we will tell you how to prepare Asian coffee according to its original formulaso that you get the same presentation and obtain an authentic and perfect flavor.

Next, we carefully pour the liqueurs: first we add 20 ml of brandy and then 10 ml of Licor 43. We can see that none of the three ingredients mix, so we already have 3 layers of our coffee.

Next, we have to add the espresso coffee, and here we come to the most delicate part of the process. To add the coffee without mixing with the rest of the layers, we will use an upturned spoon that touches the edge of the Licor 43 layer. We will let the coffee fall slowly through the spoon that we will go up as the level of the coffee rises.
