Microwave poached egg, fast and easy attractive result

Making a microwave poached egg can surprise many diners, but don’t think that it is a complicated recipe. With this microwave version You can prepare this delicious ingredient very quickly and easily without using plastic wrap or any specific utensil, either to eat it as is or to accompany other recipes.

In this recipe, you will see that we use vinegar, why? Thanks to the vinegar we ensure that the white does not disperse through the water and it is more compact. This way the egg will come out more whole. Another thing to keep in mind is that all microwaves do not have the same power, therefore, cooking time may vary. However, in the recipe I indicate an appropriate time so that the egg does not overcook and, in the event that it is not properly cooked, you can leave it covered for a few more seconds until it is cooked. How to make poached egg in the microwave

To start, we fill a microwave-safe glass or cup with water and heat it in the microwave until it is very hot, without the need to boil. Next, we add 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar or the one we have at home. This will help the white to be more compact and not disperse through the water. But be careful, don’t add a lot of vinegar if you don’t want to flavor the egg.

Now carefully pour the egg into the glass. If we drop a piece of shell inside the glass, we remove it.

We take the glass of water with the egg to the microwave. We cook it at maximum power for about 40 seconds. The time will depend a lot on the power of each microwave. If after this time the egg is not ready, we can cover the glass with a plate and leave it out of the microwave so that it continues cooking with the heat of the water, until it is to our liking.
