Oatmeal, banana and chocolate cookies

Oatmeal, banana and chocolate cookies: easy, homemade and delicious. If you have already tried the classic oatmeal cookies or the cookie-type oatmeal and chocolate cookies, the ones we are going to prepare today with bananas, you are going to love them. These cookies are a perfect snack for those moments when we need to eat something sweet. They are prepared in a very short time and in a single bowl and they also serve us to take advantage of the bananas that have become too ripe to eat them alone.
Instead of using traditional wheat flour, in this recipe we have used oat flour and also rolled oats to add more texture to the cookies. By using oat flour we make them suitable for those who cannot eat gluten and can eat oats, and it also allows us to play a little with other varieties of flour that we can find on the market.
For these cookies we have not used additional fat, only the butter that the cocoa beans contain. We haven’t put much sugar either because the banana and also the chocolate chips add a sweet touch.
Once made, the best way to keep them is in a tin box in the fridge. Thus, we have them ready to enjoy at any time of the day.

How to make Chocolate Banana Oatmeal Cookies
First of all, we preheat the oven to 180 ºC with the up and down heat function or to 160 ºC if we use the fan function. While the oven is heating up, we begin to prepare the cookies. To do this, we peel 2 bananas and take them to a plate along with a pinch of salt to crush them with the help of a fork.

We take the crushed bananas to a bowl and add 100 g of oatmeal.

Next, we add 100g rolled oats, 30g brown sugar, 10g vanilla paste and 5g chemical booster to the bowl.

Add 1 egg to the dough. The egg and the banana will make it possible to make a moldable dough.

Mix well all the ingredients that we have in the bowl.

Add 50 g of dark chocolate chips and mix the dough again.

Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper. To make cookies of uniform size we have used an ice cream scoop. We should get 12 servings.

We flatten the cookies a little using a spoon before taking them to the oven.

Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes and let them cool on a wire rack.
